3 photos from today

My evening outfit consisted of a shirt from Stockh LM, a pair of jeans from Replay, shoes from Novita, accessories from Marc Jacobs & Edblad and a small bag from Mulberry. I did two messy braids in my hair. It was very hot to wear jeans, in this heat, but the thing is that it is always a lot more colder in the stores and on the restaurants. It does not feel very comfortable either, wearing shorts or thin shirts- where you show a lot skin, due to their religion, here in India. At the hotel, it is another thing, and it feels totally OK to where a bit thinner clothes here. The bikini is from Pink, Victoria’s secret.

A visit to the CyberHub

Hello guys!

This day was mainly spent by the pool. The weather was cloudy, but very hot and damp in the air. Even though clouds, with a mix of exhausts, were covering the sky- it was very light outside, you can really feel how much stronger the sun is here in India, than in Sweden.

By the pool, I swam 20 laps and then read a lot. I finished my book and got half way through another one. Reading is the best! We ate a really late lunch, at least late for us, around 3 o’clock. The heat, combined with a bit of jet lag, don’t really make us as hungry, as we usually are, that’s the reason for eating a late lunch. I ate a vegetable noodle soup with some dosa. A dosa is a sort of a healthy remake of a pancake- it mainly consists of chick peas and rice. It may not sound very inviting, but I promise it tastes so good, and looks almost exactly like a pancake!

When we have had lunch, it was too hot to stay outside any longer. The clouds had disappeared a bit, and the blue sky even showed through at some places. Our taxi picked us up at half past five, until then we relaxed a bit on the hotel rooms.

We drove to a big place, called CyberHub, where we had dinner. It is almost like a mall, but with only restaurants, such as Hard Rock café, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, lots of Indian restaurants and so on. The whole place was so fresh and modern. The different sides of India are huge! From looking at sky scrapes, to “houses” only consisting of a very few towels and plates, sheds. It is heartbreaking, seeing all these poorness, but a only a fact that shows how extremely unfair the world is.

We got home around eight. Now it is almost 10 pm, I will read a bit, write a few blog posts and then go to sleep.

Tonight the Shiva festival is starting, at 00am. There are already so much noise, music, decorations going on, outside. The streets are overloaded with people on cars, busses and richaws. Almost all the cars have huge stereos and plays extremely loud, indian music. I wonder how much sleep we will get tonight… I will keep you updated!

Good night!

Hit the gym

Morning all!

I woke up at 7 am. My family was still asleep, by eight me and my dad went to the gym. The others were still sleeping. I did my workout for an hour. It was really great and I love to work in the gym!

I started with the cross trainer, then I did core, back, arms, turnout, insides, feet & stretched at last.

Now, we are going to the breakfast. I am so hungry! We will spend the rest of the morning by the pool, and later visit some stores.

Have a great day!

Ambience mall

Shopping, shopping, shopping… It can never be enough, can it?

We spent our evening at the ‘Ambience mall’. It took 20 minutes to go there. 20 minutes of crazy cars driving everywhere, dogs walking wherever they want and the speed bumps always make everything worse! The drivers don’t really slow down that well, so it’s such bumpy car rides.

Anyway, Ambience mall was incredible! Just like any huge mall in the US! They had every store you could think of. H&M, Zara, Claries, Calvin Klein, Promod, Gap, Sephora, Adidas and so on. I bought the most comfiest and cute set from Juicy Couture. Or, my mom and dad bought it for me, as a late birthday gift because we knew beforehand there would be a juicy store here. Thanks so much! ❤

We had dinner at a Jamie Oliver restaurant, it is always a safe card, and has lots of good food. I started with some mozzarella and tomatoes, then shared a few pizza slices with the others.

Now we are back on the hotel again. We will soon eat our delicious donuts, that we both at Dunkin Donuts- at the mall. Then I’ll do my workout, since I have already swam 20 laps today, I think I will only do 300 sit ups, 50 side lift in plank on each side, 100 Russian twists, 20 back lifts, some turnout exercises and then stretch. After that, the big, cozy hotel bed is waiting for me, to fall asleep on. And I for sure will! We are not jet lagged actually, but walking around the whole day- visiting all the apartments and then in the mall, made me very tired.

I hope you had a great day. Good night!

Apartment viewing

We just got home from looking at 10 different apartments. These are the coolest apartments I have ever seen! No joke!

The drivers picked us up at 10 o’clock, which I have already mentioned. Then we went to the apartment area.

The area is huge. It consists of 20 different towers, each tower has extremely many apartments, which are all unlike each others. Every tower has a reception and a lobby, where all the elevators are. The area, where all the towers are situated, has common social activity areas, which can be used by all persons who live in the area. There are things such as tennis courts, golf courts, basket ball courts, a jogging trail, a huge swimming pool, squash court etc. There is also a thing called “club house”. The club house is huge, as well. Inside, you can find a spa and beauty salon, great gym, pilates and yoga rooms, card room, bio salon (super cool!), a bakery, restaurants, party room and so on. This place is incredible! I am so jealous of my family who will live with all this, but at the same time very excited to go to Zurich.

We found one outstanding apartment. It was very convenient, big, had a great kitchen, right amount of bed rooms, nice toilets & a real pretty view. It was fresh but also very light. The lower photos above, are on that apartment.
All the ones we visited were huge. One was even 1000 square meters, divided into two floors. The balcony was the largest I had ever seen! It was too big though… Another apartment was actually super cool, not at all in our interest, but still very cool. It had a sort of a dark and mysterious lightening, some parts were made to have a bar and disco furniture. Pretty special, I would say.

We spent almost 5 hours, looking for apartments. We got home 2.30 am and directly had lunch. Now we will relax at our hotel room until 5 o’clock. Then we will go to a huge shopping mall; where we will buy a few things. In the evening I will go to the gym, and do my workout. The weather has been mixed, sometimes a bit rainy and sometimes very sunny, but all the time extremely hot. I am in love with the heat, this weather is perfect!

Hotel breakfast at its best

Good morning all!

Today the alarm wake us up at 8.30. We directly went up, dressed ourselves and then took the elevator to have some breakfast. I ate delicious tropical fruits and a yogurt. Now it is 9.45 and the taxi will pick us up in 15 minutes. We just have to take the mosquito spray first. The taxi will drive us to the area where all the apartments are situated. We will do 10 different apartment visits and then choose one, where we want to live. As I’ve written before, the hotel stay is only because we have not found an apartment yet.

Yesterday was such a great day. In the afternoon I swam 1 kilometre in the swimming pool and then we all did some spa. In the evening, me and my sisters got nice manicure.

Now I really have to go. I hope you have a great day, and I’ll post more in the evening about our visit to the apartments.

Bye for now!

Arrived in India

Right now it is 12.05 am, here in India. The temperature has already hit 30 Celsius and the town is wide awake.

Our trip started yesterday lunch. Everything is such a mess now, thinking back on the time makes me so confused since there’s a time difference from Sweden, India is 3.5 hours ahead. Anyway, the whole trip and flight could not have gone any easier, smoother or faster. The first 1.5 hour, at the airplane to Helsinki, flew by so fast and all of a sudden, we had arrived in a rainy, clod & grey Finland. There were only 45 minutes between the two flights and we all were worried that the luggages would not make it in time, between both flights. Helsinki airport was no problem at all, we just went off the departured plane and basically, walked straight over to the boarding of the plane to Dehli (not really, but almost).

Boarding the plane was absolutely no problem either, and sooner than we knew, we sat on the plane, on our way to India, Dehli.

That flight took 6 hours and 40 minutes. When we were all safe and up in the air, everyone got served dinner. Airplane food isn’t my favourite, this time we got some chicken. At least the dessert were delicious chocolate, which wasn’t too bad. In the end of the flight, when it was around 1 hour left, they served us breakfast. A mozzarella sandwich and tea. Having a meal at two o’clock, in the night, is not very tasty- in my opinion. The hours between the two meals were mostly spent sleeping. A baby that kept screaming and screaming and screaming, which made it a whole lot more difficult to sleep. Although, I actually slept a bit. I also read, and almost finished my book- which I just started reading at the airplane, and did also watch a bit of Modern Family, on the TV, which swede placed on the seat in from of me.

Arriving to Dehli was a great thing. The smell and the heat hit us, us soon us we got out from the plane. It brought so many flashbacks back.

Dehli airport is very fresh, and although it was lots of people, the visa control went quite fast. There were no intentions, what so ever, to show any of the thousand of papers we had to fill in before, because we brought a cat with us.

Now to the scarying part of the whole blog post, did we receive all the luggage or not…?

… The answer is YES! We did receive all the luggages. I even think it was the first time ever that all the bags arrived only after a very few minutes that we arrived to the baggage drop. Seeing that all the luggages were safely in our hand again, was such a relief. It meant that we actually made to India.

Right outside the luggage drop, two men, from the hotel we are staying at, helped us with all the packing and then drove us to the airport.

Everything about India is overwhelming. The extremely many people. The endless chaos in the traffic. Cars driving wherever they want, people screaming and horning the best they can. The smell. The very warm and hot climate. The buildings, and the mix between the poorest houses only consisting of some papers and towels, compared to the massive apartments and super high, new and modern buildings.

If you have never been to India. You will not fully understand what I am writing and may think that I am exaggerating A LOT, but you know what, I am not doing that at all. If you are not used to the driving and traffic in India, you will think everyone driving a car, is high on drugs. All of a sudden, cars can turn around and drive right opposite the direction, like what? People are walking however they want, bikes too and the same with the motorbikes, as well as with the richaws. To make the whole thing a lot more difficult, there is Left traffic in India, not right- as it is in Sweden. Good thing we will have a driver…

It took 25 minutes to the hotel. Arriving & getting in to the relaxed, calm and peacefully “indoor hotel- atmosphere” was so appreciated. We directly checked in and went up to our rooms. Contected door is a great thing. After leaving our luggages at the rooms, we went down to have breakfast. I ate some delicious tropical fruit and pancakes. When we were full, and not hungry anymore, we went to our rooms, to sleep a bit. And here we are, 2 hours later. I had a great sleep and it was the hardest thing ever, waking up.

Our plan for today is to stay at the hotel. We will swim in the pool, I will workout at the gym and we all might go for a massage. Afterall, it is my birthday. Sweet 16! Yey!

Tomorrow we will, at 10 o’clock in the morning, be driven to the area where my family later will move to (staying at the hotel is only temporary) we will be looking at 10 different appartements. I am looking forward to that!

I will upload another post later on, what our experiences when travelling with a cat, were like.

I am super happy to be in India again. I must admit that I really like this country, a lot. Now I will have so much to blog about, stay tuned for that! Do not forget to check my blog a few times a day- there will be lots of new updates.

Our adventure has finally started!
