Happy (lazy) Tuesday

Mondayz

Hey guys!!
I’m currently on the train, going from Stockholm back to Sigtuna after a (good) ballet class. The weather is so summerish, loveeee it!! The sun’s shining, hardly any clouds and I’d estimate the temperature to 20something. It’s not Delhi’s +40 instant heat but nothing beats a Swedish summer. Though Snapchat said it was only 15 degrees — but everyone knows that Snapchat isn’t the most reliable source for most cases 😉

Anyway, it was SO nice to be reunited with my friends yesterday ❤ I’ve missed them SO much. I think that especially since we’re sharing house and see each other 24/7, being away is pretty tough. I was doubting surviving one week let alone the whole summer? Oh well, thank god there’s social media.

I got back to the boarding house around 6 in the evening, when I had unpacked everything me and Sabina went out for a long walk, enjoying the weather. As always Mondays mean sleep-ins to nine for everyone at SSHL. I can literally never sleep in though & jet lag didn’t exactly make it better. Sabina and I were up and ready to take on the world around 7, we went for another walk followed by a quick ab workout before breakfast- sandwiches and scramble egg with tomatoes and peppers.

My school day was pretty chill. I only had two classes and worked out during lunch, for an hour. I started running for 20 Minutes. Followed by 16 lunges to the front as well as 4 to the side, parallel, and 4 more but turned out. Then I did a set of 50 crunches on a Pilates ball, one minute plank – front and to both sides (aka 3 minutes + side lifts when in plank) and these ‘long dips’/ bikeish leg movements starting from table top and extending one leg at a time- 32 times. I did this set twice. Continued with 30 push-ups, or more like 10+10+10, on the knees. Followed by an exercise for the glutes. Then I did 15 relevés with +5kg weight, two times, back lifts 10×2 and then I stretched.

I hope your day was a good one!! See you

Enjoy it, because it’s happening

Heyy guys what’s up!!

I’m sitting outside on the balcony, looking out the beautiful view of the golf course while eating a bowl of pomegranates– trying to take in the beauty of India before flying back to Stockholm tomorrow…

Yesterday didn’t start off too well as we had to wait at the police for over 2 hours in order to fix the visa, completing the FRRO process. We have to do this, just like any other expat, once or twice a year in order to extend the visa as a citizen. When that was done, which felt like years later, we dropped of dad at work and the kids at school before I could go to my ballet friend’s house to workout.

The evening was spent at the American Embassy school, where the eight graders- my sister’s grade, had their graduation; moving up ceremony. I can’t believe she has completed middle school and will become a freshman next year. Exciting!!  While they had their ‘party’ at the school, the rest of the family was staying with our friends in Delhi, since going to Gurgaon and back would take too many hours (yep, hours, not minutes). The traffic was actually horrible, although we were driving back around 10 in the evening. It took us nearly two hours to get back to Magnolias!

I was at my friend’s house already by 9 this morning. We did barre and center for around two hours. This was the last workout with her for awhile. It makes me really sad to think about the fact that we don’t know when we meet next time. She’s done so much for me and I would never be as strong as I am now without the help I’ve got from her. Her family might move during summer but nothing is sure yet.

My flight is 10.30am tomorrow and I will get in at 4.50pm in Stockholm- the same day. I bought loads of snacks for my friends at Modern Bazaar, for them to share. Indian snack is always fun to try out. Different but yummy in most cases.

I hope you’re having a good weekend!! ❤

Perks of living in India

Good evening guys!!

I am DED. Literally. I’ve worked out so much these past days that I haven’t even had time to write any blogposts… soz!

So I started off this morning with working out (surprise surprise) at my ballet friend’s house, as per usual. 2.5 hours later I went back home for lunch and I also managed spending some time by the pool before getting ready for the day. Mom and I drove into Delhi in the afternoon for a nice fika with Swedish friends before the pickup at school.

My friend and I had rent the studio from 4-5pm but ended up working out for two more hours. In the morning we did floor barre, strengthening exercises followed by barre, center and pointe work. In the afternoon we did contemporary. It is SO nice to work.

The other day mom and I went to the Russian market. Not only did we buy four leather jackets (photos will be up soon) but also did I experience listening to Indians speaking Russian with an Indian accent. Quite an experience. Anyway, the Russian market looks just like any other market in Delhi. It has the Indian smell, it’s messy, dogs are all over the place, it’s dirty and Indians are everywhere (speaking Russian). In the middle of all this, there’s this leather shop to be found. The store is not bigger than 15 square metres -something, with leather clothes everywhere. You can either buy an already made jacket or show the owner a picture for him to stitch. The brands of the clothes are literally everything from Asos, River Island, Dolce & Gabbana, Massimo Dutti, Diesel and so on. Top quality, super cheap and they look amazing! We got four jackets for 15 000 rupees which is 1, 500 sek (aka nothing).

The third ringers at my (temporary) school in Sweden graduated yesterday. They all looked amazing and I will miss them in the few days that are left of school for the rest of us. I know they’ll all do great in life and I wish them the best of luck for whatever they choose to do. ❤

I cannot believe I am going back to Sweden on Sunday. Gladly, graduation is getting closer and closer. I’m soon out the normal school!!

I’m currently watching Riverdale. Has anyone seen it? I thought it was going to be super cringe (it is, a little) but surprisingly good to be honest. Definitely recommend it!!

See you x
