Enjoy it, because it’s happening

Heyy guys what’s up!! 

I’m sitting outside on the balcony, looking out the beautiful view of the golf course while eating a bowl of pomegranates– trying to take in the beauty of India before flying back to Stockholm tomorrow…

Yesterday didn’t start off too well as we had to wait at the police for over 2 hours in order to fix the visa, completing the FRRO process. We have to do this, just like any other expat, once or twice a year in order to extend the visa as a citizen. When that was done, which felt like years later, we dropped of dad at work and the kids at school before I could go to my ballet friend’s house to workout.

The evening was spent at the American Embassy school, where the eight graders- my sister’s grade, had their graduation; moving up ceremony. I can’t believe she has completed middle school and will become a freshman next year. Exciting!!  While they had their ‘party’ at the school, the rest of the family was staying with our friends in Delhi, since going to Gurgaon and back would take too many hours (yep, hours, not minutes). The traffic was actually horrible, although we were driving back around 10 in the evening. It took us nearly two hours to get back to Magnolias!

I was at my friend’s house already by 9 this morning. We did barre and center for around two hours. This was the last workout with her for awhile. It makes me really sad to think about the fact that we don’t know when we meet next time. She’s done so much for me and I would never be as strong as I am now without the help I’ve got from her. Her family might move during summer but nothing is sure yet.

My flight is 10.30am tomorrow and I will get in at 4.50pm in Stockholm- the same day. I bought loads of snacks for my friends at Modern Bazaar, for them to share. Indian snack is always fun to try out. Different but yummy in most cases.
