Enjoy it, because it’s happening

Heyy guys what’s up!!

I’m sitting outside on the balcony, looking out the beautiful view of the golf course while eating a bowl of pomegranates– trying to take in the beauty of India before flying back to Stockholm tomorrow…

Yesterday didn’t start off too well as we had to wait at the police for over 2 hours in order to fix the visa, completing the FRRO process. We have to do this, just like any other expat, once or twice a year in order to extend the visa as a citizen. When that was done, which felt like years later, we dropped of dad at work and the kids at school before I could go to my ballet friend’s house to workout.

The evening was spent at the American Embassy school, where the eight graders- my sister’s grade, had their graduation; moving up ceremony. I can’t believe she has completed middle school and will become a freshman next year. Exciting!!  While they had their ‘party’ at the school, the rest of the family was staying with our friends in Delhi, since going to Gurgaon and back would take too many hours (yep, hours, not minutes). The traffic was actually horrible, although we were driving back around 10 in the evening. It took us nearly two hours to get back to Magnolias!

I was at my friend’s house already by 9 this morning. We did barre and center for around two hours. This was the last workout with her for awhile. It makes me really sad to think about the fact that we don’t know when we meet next time. She’s done so much for me and I would never be as strong as I am now without the help I’ve got from her. Her family might move during summer but nothing is sure yet.

My flight is 10.30am tomorrow and I will get in at 4.50pm in Stockholm- the same day. I bought loads of snacks for my friends at Modern Bazaar, for them to share. Indian snack is always fun to try out. Different but yummy in most cases.

I hope you’re having a good weekend!! ❤

Perks of living in India

Good evening guys!!

I am DED. Literally. I’ve worked out so much these past days that I haven’t even had time to write any blogposts… soz!

So I started off this morning with working out (surprise surprise) at my ballet friend’s house, as per usual. 2.5 hours later I went back home for lunch and I also managed spending some time by the pool before getting ready for the day. Mom and I drove into Delhi in the afternoon for a nice fika with Swedish friends before the pickup at school.

My friend and I had rent the studio from 4-5pm but ended up working out for two more hours. In the morning we did floor barre, strengthening exercises followed by barre, center and pointe work. In the afternoon we did contemporary. It is SO nice to work.

The other day mom and I went to the Russian market. Not only did we buy four leather jackets (photos will be up soon) but also did I experience listening to Indians speaking Russian with an Indian accent. Quite an experience. Anyway, the Russian market looks just like any other market in Delhi. It has the Indian smell, it’s messy, dogs are all over the place, it’s dirty and Indians are everywhere (speaking Russian). In the middle of all this, there’s this leather shop to be found. The store is not bigger than 15 square metres -something, with leather clothes everywhere. You can either buy an already made jacket or show the owner a picture for him to stitch. The brands of the clothes are literally everything from Asos, River Island, Dolce & Gabbana, Massimo Dutti, Diesel and so on. Top quality, super cheap and they look amazing! We got four jackets for 15 000 rupees which is 1, 500 sek (aka nothing).

The third ringers at my (temporary) school in Sweden graduated yesterday. They all looked amazing and I will miss them in the few days that are left of school for the rest of us. I know they’ll all do great in life and I wish them the best of luck for whatever they choose to do. ❤

I cannot believe I am going back to Sweden on Sunday. Gladly, graduation is getting closer and closer. I’m soon out the normal school!!

I’m currently watching Riverdale. Has anyone seen it? I thought it was going to be super cringe (it is, a little) but surprisingly good to be honest. Definitely recommend it!!

See you x

Workout, meaning hardly working or working hard?

Hey guys!!

I fell asleep before nine yesterday night and even managed sleeping until 6.30am when my alarm went off. Talking about being tired?? Oh well after managing getting out of bed, I got ready and we all head to school around an hour later.

When at school I met with my friend and as the director of physical education denied us to use their huge (non used) studios we chose to go to her gym at her house instead. There we worked out for almost four hours, starting with floor barre- barre in pointe shoes, center and pirouettes. The barre went really well but the center wasn’t as good. It will be tomorrow though!!

Tomorrow I will spend the whole morning working out with her, and the afternoon shopping with mom.

It is so nice to be back in Delhi and the heat again. I’ve spent the evening out on the balcony, enjoying the view while watching series and doing some work as well.

It’s only nine but I’m already tired, I will spend 45 minutes stretching before I can even think about going to bed. It’s been raining on and off throughout this day, which is really nice I have to admit. Humid but nice and just about 40 degrees, – perfect!!

I hope you’ve had a good Monday, see youu

Sun(ny)dayz at home

I arrived just on time and even got through the immigration check quickly and got my suitcase relatively fast as well. It is so nice to be home & reunited with my family again!

It’s almost 4.30 in the afternoon and so far all I’ve done is taken four naps and tanned by the pool. It’s really hard to believe that I’m here, in Delhi, when I was just in my room at the boarding school, in Sigtuna…

I’ll workout with my friend all morning tomorrow, preparing for the upcoming uppdansning which is next Wednesday. Additionally, this week I’ll probably do some shopping, see friends and spend time with the fam.

My sister has her moving up ceremony this Friday, as she will start high school and ninth grade after the summer. She has her outfit planned but I’ll do her makeup, so I’ll try some looks now. Oh and by the way, she is way taller than me now!! It’s crazy how fast she’s grown, just like my other siblings.

I hope you’ve had a nice weekend, enjoy what’s left of it!!

Airport bound

Morning all!!

It is right now 9.21 in the morning and I am by the gate, waiting to board the plane.

The flight to Helsinki will take 7 hours and 40 minutes, I’ll probably read, study and watch movies to kill the time. The stopover in Helsinki isn’t as short as it usual is, I’ll have 5 hours before boarding the one hour flight to Stockholm, landing 08.20pm… Oh well…

I am not at all excited to go back to SNOWY (!!!!!!!!) Sweden. As seen above, the sad truth, it’s 40 degrees difference between Delhi and Sigtuna and today it is said that the temperature will reach 44 degrees! Meanwhile I’ll have to be stuck with 0 degrees and snow in Sweden, depressing.

The good thing though, is that it is only 30 days until I come here next time. I haven’t even left the country, yet I cannot wait till I come back.

Short story: when I was to buy my Starbucks drink, like 20 minutes ago, they apparently only accepted MasterCards which I didn’t have. Though the lady was nice enough to hand me my drink anyway, a Chai Latte ❤ all for free ❤

I hope you all have had a great start of the week. This weekend will be a red one at the boarding houses, meaning everyone has to stay and our schedule will be full of mandatory (ugh) activities. The weekend after is Valborg which is really exciting because I’ll be flying to Skåne since we have 3 days off. Hopefully some friends will come along.

Wish me a good flight, à bientôt !!
